EmpowerBands is an Alabama nonprofit organization doing business as EmpowerBands Worldwide. We help individuals, families, caregivers, and communities keep important safety information and trusted contacts within reach.
Through NFC-enabled wearable technology, EmpowerBands makes it easier for first responders, caregivers, and trusted contacts to quickly view important information during an emergency without requiring a special app.
Our goal is to create simple, inclusive, and reliable safety solutions that give people greater peace of mind at home, at school, while traveling, and throughout everyday life.

No special EmpowerBands app is needed. Tap with a compatible NFC smartphone or scan the QR code. The phone needs internet access to load the safety profile.
No. The Safety ID does not track location on its own. A helper may choose to share their phone’s location when sending a contact alert, with permission.
The public profile shows the information you provide for helping someone, including public instructions and a caregiver contact option. Private medical notes are protected by your PIN. Choose public details carefully.
Open Manage My Profile and verify access with a text code sent to the phone connected to your Safety ID. Contact support@empowerbands.org if you no longer have access to that phone.
Use the QR code to open the profile in your phone’s browser. NFC support varies by phone, case, settings, and where you hold the Safety ID.
No. An EmpowerBands alert notifies the saved contacts; it does not contact 911 or emergency services. Call 911 directly in a life-threatening emergency.
A personal purchase is a Safety ID for you or someone you choose. A sponsorship helps EmpowerBands provide access to another person. The Monthly Impact Club is a separate recurring support program.
